With our inaugural showcase in the rearview mirror, all sights are set for more action in November.  Some of the biggest factors that came in to play during this month's selection included scoring, defensive ability, and strength of schedule. Take a look at 2017s second edition of stars of the month.

Forward: Ann-Frederique Guay Ontario Hockey Academy Juniors

The hottest hands this month came from Ontario Hockey Academy's Ann-Frederique Guay (Quebec, Canada) who had 3 multi-point performances in October alone. Guay racked up a total of 10 points putting away 3 goals and 7 assists. The forward also leads her team in goals, assists, and points on the season and is among the league's best, sitting third in the league in the same three categories.

Defense: Rachel Teslak Ontario Hockey Academy Tardiff

Another selection from Ontario Hockey Academy, this time for the Tardiff goes to defenseman Rachel Teslak (British Columbia, Canada).  In her 6 appearances in the month of October, Teslak collected 8 points with 3 goals and 5 assists. The defenseman also leads her team in both assists and points  with 8 and 11 on the season respectively.  Teslak is also a force on defense as part of one of the stingiest defenses in the league which has allowed only 11 goals in 13 games. Thats less than 1 goal allowed per game, .84 to be exact, second best in the league. Teslak's performance last month both offensively and defensively has earned her player of the month honors.

Goaltender: Noelle Giroux Northern Cyclones

Posting an impressive .944 save percentage in her two games against two of the leagues toughest opponents, Cyclones goaltender Noelle Giroux (New Hampshire, USA) has earned her place as Goaltender of the Month for October. In those two appearances Giroux held the Tardiff to a deadlock tie allowing only 1 goal and 30 stops in the process. Giroux also held her own against the high-flying offense of HTI holding them to only 2 goals on 23 attempts in her only loss of the season.

Rookie: Gabi Davidson-Adams Ontario Hockey Academy Juniors

Our rookie selection for the month goes to forward Gabi Davidson-Adams (Ontario, Canada) from the OHA Juniors. Davidson-Adams came up big in October, scoring points in every game last month. In addition, Davidson-Adams posted 2 multi-point efforts in October alone. The assistant captain sits second on her team only behind Guay in both goals and points so far this season.

Honorable Mention: Sara Krauseneck Northern Cyclones

Rounding out our list with the honorable mention is Northern Cylcones forward Sara Krauseneck (Michigan, USA). The captain had an impressive showing in her 5 appearances in October with 2 goals and 4 assists. Both of her goals came in impressive fashion against two of the league's toughest opponents in Hockey Training Institute and the Ontario Hockey Academy Juniors. In addition her 4 point performance against the Express earns Krauseneck the honorable mention.
