Playoffs are upon us as with the first puck being dropped tonight at 4:00 pm EST from Warrior Ice Arena in Boston. With this comes our final edition of EWHC Stars of the Month for the 2017-18 season. The league would like to thank all of its players for a great inaugural season and looks forward to many more great seasons to come. That being said, here are your Stars of the Month for February.

Forward - Taylor Girouard East Coast Wizards

February's Rookie of the Month goes to a young star in Taylor Girouard (Burlington, Mass.) of the East Coast Wizards. Girouard was sensational in the month of February with two multi-goal performances allowing her to score 4 goals and 1 assist. In the Wizard's final game of the regular season, Girouard played the part of hero for her team by scoring both equalizers against the Northern Cyclones, including coming off the bench to score with just 11 seconds left in the game, forcing the game into overtime.

Defenseman - Rachel Walsh East Coast Wizards

The Defenseman selection this month goes to East Coast Wizards defenseman Rachel Walsh (Groton, Mass.).  In her 3 appearances in February, Walsh contributed 2 points to her team this month, with 1 goal and 1 assist. A newcomer to the team this season, Walsh has been an asset both defensively and offensively to the young Wizards team. Walsh's season totals include 3 goals and 1 assist.

Goaltender - Chloe Beaubein Ontario Hockey Academy Juniors

Ontario Hockey Academy Juniors goaltender Chloe Beaubien (Colorado) is February's Goaltender of the Month. In her only appearance in the month of February, the net-minder pulled out a win against the league's best offensive team in OHA Tardiff team after making 25 saves on the day.

The Rookie of the Month for February goes to Rockets forward Sumeri Kierkosz-Ueno (Bronx, N.Y.). Ueno was impressive in February scoring 1 goal and 2 assists in the month alone. Most notable was her performance against the East Coast Wizards on February 9th, where she put away helpers on both goals to pick up the draw.
